Dale Earnhardt Jr. NASCAR Nextel Cup in 1:24th scale

Motorsports, by far my favorite sport. Started by following Dale Earnhardt in NASCAR Winston Cup racing in 1990. Today, Dale Earnhardt Jr is my favorite driver in the NASCAR Nextel Cup series.

Started following Formula 1 in 1992 with Nigel Mansell and Ayrton Senna. Over in the American open-wheel scene, started watching the Indycar racing series when Jacques Villeneuve arrived in 1994. 1995 was amazing, as Villeneuve won both the Indianapolis 500 and Indycar championship, and I carried on being his fan when he moved over to Formula 1 from 1996 onwards.

1996 was also the year that the American open-wheel scene split into the Champcar World Series, and the IndyCar series. Still watch both series, but the split has unfortunately destroyed the American open-wheel racing scene.

Despite starting by watching NASCAR, Formula 1 is what excites me the most. Attended the United States Grand Prix the last couple of years and the experience is just incredible. The technology, the sound of the cars, the atmosphere at the race track, just amazing. My favorite driver in Formula 1 these days is Fernando Alonso.
